Welcome to FEC!

We’re so glad you found us! The Falunnian Environmental Corps is a state run non-profit (Falunnia’s first non-profit!) that serves as an environmental education and protection entity. We work in numerous ways to support restoration and conservation of natural resources. The Kingdom of Falunnia has pledged an environmental tax of 2% from all state-owned businesses as permanent funding for FEC, but still, we require much more to sustain our missions. As a primarily self-supported entity, we thrive on donations and on the purchase of our goods and services, such as educational materials, seminars, and products from our reforestation and forest guild projects. We have a handful of key programs which we administrate, and hope to develop a broader scope in the future, but for now, our cornerstone programs include:

Reforestation and Carbon Sequestering

In the Dry Hill Territory, we are undertaking a rather comprehensive project to create a strongly developed forest guild that will both sequester large amounts of carbon and create a bountiful perennial harvest that can be used within the Kingdom and traded to support our other missions.

Weather Reporting

In the near future, regular and trackable weather data for the kingdom will become available. This weather data can be provided for research, used to predict water usage in future years, and determine crop rotations across the Kingdom. Knowledge of our current climatic situation is key to finding a way forward.

Energy Policy

It is a key function of the FEC to test, research and when feasible, oversee the purchase and implementation of sustainable energy sources and systems. Making recommendations to the Kingdom and citizens based on thorough review, new methods of energy conservation are hoped to be discovered.

Education

Through course materials, programming, seminars, and consultation, FEC hopes to shed light of sensible and easy ways that everyone can be more environmentally conscious. We will market educational materials through The Royal Mertantile, and inquiries for consultation, speaking arrangements, services yet to be determined can be queried at fec@falunnia.com
